Spray Foam Insulation Sealed the Door Leakage

The owners of the building that we recently purchased made a very unwise choice to try and open up the basement by creating an outside entrance and breaking a hole in the concrete. The problem was that the slope of the land was such that whenever it rained, water pooled in the doorway and gradually seeped into the basement. After a couple of bad flooding situations, he gave up in frustration. He could not seem to get the drainage outside the building to work with him and pull the water away from the opening. The first thing I have done is to seal up that door with spray foam insulation. There will be no more leaks until I decided how to fix the problem permanently.
