Is the rate a baby grows at hereditary like many other traits? I know that things like hair color, eye color, skin color, and stature are all inherited, but I have always wondered about growth rate. I have seen children who were siblings and one child had a much faster growth than the other. Perhaps one child inherited the growth pattern of one parent and the other child inherited the growth pattern of the other. It could also have something to do with how much metabolism each child has. Whatever the reason, it does seem peculiar that two children so closely related would develop so differently.
