As I recently found out, being overweight can greatly affect both your chances of being accepted by a life insurance provider and you overall life insurance rate. My husband was turned down by two companies and the other company ended up taking him but at a much higher rate than normal because of his weight. This was a life changing experience for my husband, he started out by getting depressed then quickly decided to do something about it.
He is now on a diet and making progress, we just hope the insurance company will reevaluate him after he looses some weight. Or we will just cancel and go elsewhere.
