Ten years ago, my life was a wreck and my wife thought it would never get better. We had a huge amount of credit card debt, a new baby and a job loss to deal with. Times were hard back then and that is why I made the call to the credit counselor. She was understanding of our situation and she worked out a plan to put us back on our feet. Thankfully, things have managed to work our fine since then and now we have been out of debt for five years. We have saved money and are looking forward to buying our first home.
