My Take On “Buying an Established Business”

Chapter 8 of my new book (available 09-01-2011) contains a detailed set of tactics for buying an existing small business advice business or a franchise (existing or new territory). It is a buyer’s market (the best in decades) and seller financing is more readily available than ever (less need for banks to be involved). Franchises are totally flexible these days when dealing with prospective buyers. Everything is negotiable. Buying an existing business is an excellent strategy in hard times. But be wary of business brokers. Many are ex-residential sales reps who know next to nothing about business.
